Mock-ups and functional specifications

Mock-ups of websites, mobile applications and interfaces of digital devices are made on the basis of a model of the desired user path. We make both lo-fi mock-ups (black and white models) and hi-fi mock-ups (which include photos and real texts).

Low fidelity mock-ups are used to present the layout of elements, planned functionalities and the arrangement of content in an application.

Lo-fi mock-ups presented to target users of an application make it possible to test:

• the readability of elements,
• the reasons for a specific arrangement of elements,
• the size and ratio of elements,
• the navigation and logic of the whole application,
• information architecture,
• the usability and validity of the application in users’ lives,
• the intuitiveness and smoothness of specific functionalities,
• general experience with using the application.

Mock-ups with a description of procedures, navigation structure, a catalogue of functions and functionalities, a characterisation of modules and a library of interactions and styles are delivered as part of functional specification with files adjusted to production requirements.

Designing mock-ups and digital services is an iterative process, in which designed solutions are tested multiple times by users and consulted with developers and experts. To do that, we create testing environments with clickable mock-ups.
